Meet our ‘Best drivers on site’

Congratulations to the following drivers, who were recently recognised as ‘Best drivers on site’ by our clients at Amazon. Each received a certificate of appreciation and ‘goodie bag’ from Amazon. 

  • David Rossi: Awarded for setting a high standard, with attention to safety and compliance to Amazon policies that is incomparable. 
  • Lam Le: Recognised for their consistency in following yard rules, keeping safety as their priority and being flexible to ad-hoc requests. 
  • Ray Pita: Commended for their attention to safety, courtesy and willingness to provide feedback. 
  • Minh Le Vuong: Recognised for their exceptional performance, attention to safety and constant smile. 

Amazon also extended their thanks to the broader teams at the sites for the top-notch service and professionalism everyone brings to the job.

Check out our EV Truck trial launch

On Thursday 14 March we officially launched our EV Truck Trial at our Bungarribee site in NSW. The five-year trial is Australia’s largest logistics electric vehicle fleet trial, and is being run in partnership with the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA). 

As part of the trial, we’re replacing a third of our Western Sydney fleet with a total of 60 electric trucks, including 36 Volvo eFLs and 24 Daimler Fuso eCanters. These EV trucks will be used to deliver parcels to customers around the metropolitan Sydney area.

Next month we’ll feature stories with some of our EV truck drivers. 

Scan to support eCommerce

In March we launched our enhanced eCommerce solution – Team Global Express e-Care - giving us the opportunity to reach more customers to support their online retail, direct-to-customer needs.  

In the world of eCommerce, customer satisfaction is key. Team Global Express e-Care is all about bringing unmatched service, experience, and care to our customers. Delivering exceptional customer experiences starts with us in Operations. Whether that’s following the right delivery methods for Authority to Leave or Signature Required, or by making sure you scan at each delivery milestone. 

We recently improved our SMS and email notifications. This gives customers greater visibility and clarity at every step of the delivery journey. Scanning at every point is critical to trigger notifications for our customers so that they can track their parcel along its journey. 

Making sure you scan at the right points has a direct impact on the customer experience and the notifications they receive. Customers who can fully track their parcel along the way are less likely to contact Customer Services and our Depot Operations teams, which is a win for all.
