Flood affected transport routes impacting freight

10 November 2022
The heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding across the Eastern States of Australia is causing significant disruptions to key transport corridors between the East Coast and Western Australia.

We have been alerted by the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) that critical sections of the Broken Hill line and Cootamundra to Parkes line have been damaged and have been closed because of the flooding.

At this stage, we expect track closures until at least the end of November, but it is too soon to tell when the network will be reopened.

This closure is disrupting freight transport into and out of Western Australia to and from all the Eastern States. We will update customers as the situation evolves.

Services suspension - Ukraine

All services to and from Ukraine have been suspended until further notice. Shipments already in transit will be temporarily stored in carrier networks.
