EMBRACING ELECTRIC VEHICLES TO REDUCE EMISSIONS
We are actively investing in new fleet to enhance fuel efficiency, trialling electric trucks, incorporating energy efficient features into new and existing facilities, developing sustainable packaging, and forming innovative circular economy partnerships.
Finding smarter ways to advance sustainability
Smarter drivers
At Team Global Express, we offer vehicle-specific driver training for greater efficiency, as well as providing telematics reporting to drivers for performance insights.
Smarter facilities
We incorporate Environmental Sustainability Design (ESD) as standard practice in new facilities, featuring LED and solar technologies.
Smarter vehicles
In collaboration with ARENA, we are conducting Australia's largest truck trial, introducing over 60 electric trucks to our fleet, featuring energy-efficient specifications, including advanced aerodynamics and Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tyres.
Smarter fuels
Where feasible, we aim to use biodiesel and renewable diesel blends, collaborate with original equipment manufacturers on next-generation Electric Vehicles (EVs), and continually evaluate alternative fuels like hydrogen and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel).
Smarter waste management
We are working on our 3-year Waste Reduction and Recycling Action Plan aimed at increasing recycling, and minimising the waste sent to landfill, as well as incorporating recycled materials in our satchels and packaging.
Smarter planning
We’re constantly looking at opportunities for route and network optimisation and greater use of higher productivity vehicles. Developing strategic partnerships with customers is also part of how we’re improving our ESG performance.
Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan
Our Innovate RAP considers the livelihoods of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Australia, including the wellbeing, cultural and socio-economic factors contributing to the health situation, impacts on, and outcomes of Australia’s First Peoples.
We are committed to moving forward, to creating new connections and always respecting the history of how we got here and the foundation on which we work, live, and learn.
Team Global Express is pioneering sustainable logistics
Team Global Express strives to be the most sustainable logistics and transport provider in Australia and New Zealand.
We recognise that transport accounts for 19%[1] of all emissions in Australia, and understand the onus on us all to urgently address environmental challenges and mitigate our impact on the planet.
Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework underpins our strategy and our ways of working. You can read more about our sustainability ESG journey in our FY23 Sustainability Review.
We know that a strong focus on the environment, social responsibility and robust governance is the right thing to do.
Not just because our long-term success depends on it, but because we care about making progress in the right way. In a way that reduces our impact on the environment, supports our people, and positively impacts our communities.
It’s not going to be a magic silver bullet solution, but rather a suite of solutions to address this universal issue.

Renewable energy
Team Global Express has received support from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) for the ‘Depot of the Future’ as part of the Driving the Nation Fund. ARENA is aiming to accelerate the uptake of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) by fleets, demonstrate new use cases, and increase skills, capacity and knowledge relevant to BEV technologies.
Don't just take our word for it. Hear from our employees.
“We believe that sustainability is all about collaboration; we strive to be a business that prioritises the wellbeing and development its people, partners and customers.”
